Acne is a bothersome, chronic condition that often leads to frustration, low self-esteem, and an interruption in social activities. Moreover, the stress of having acne can exacerbate the condition causing even more breakouts! There are many causes of acne and it affects adults as well as teens. With medical advances, acne is treatable!

Whatever your history and current skincare regimen, our products can help. Depending upon the degree of severity of your acne, our recommendation for successful treatment includes the SkinMedica™ Acne System comprised of a gentle yet effective foaming cleanser pump for the face, neck, chest, and back, a treatment toner, and a treatment lotion all specially formulated to treat stubborn acne. An at-home purifying mask is also recommended to soothe and calm your irritated skin and prevent further breakouts. Vitamin C Complex is an optional complementary step to help decrease acne scarring, as well as Retinol Complex, a known combatant in the fight against acne. Chemical Peels
SkinMedica’s™ exclusive Vitalize superficial chemical peel contains a breakthrough formulation of mild acids that provides a complete, consistent, and safe treatment with little or no downtime. Indications include removal of superficial and cystic acne scarring, active acne, photo-damaged skin, pigment abnormalities, freckles, age-spots, wrinkles, and removal of fine lines. Perfect for mild to severe acne. Results are noticeable after just one peel! Even greater success can be achieved with a series of peels. Duration: 25-30 minutes. Return to work immediately after. Laser for Active Acne
Our Nd: YAG laser can treat active acne by penetrating the skin at a deep level providing an antiseptic quality that no product can match. One treatment is often enough and the results are long lasting. Downtime varies, but you can expect to go back to work within one to two days. Please see photo below.

Laser for Acne Scarring
Our erbuim laser can dramatically and significantly minimize the appearance of acne scarring, including the deep“pock” or “ice pick” marks you may have on your face and neck. Using our precision laser, the top layers of skin are eliminated, leaving smoother, tighter skin on the surface after a period of healing. Downtime varies based upon the depth of scarring.
